In loving memory of Dorice Margaret Thompson who sadly passed away on 12th January 2023 aged 94. Dorice was a retired teacher, wife of the late Harold, and mum to Gordon, the late Andrew, Helen and Ann. She was mother-in-law to Shelley, Laurence, and Martin and grandma to Faye, Charlotte, Russell and Owen.

Thank you to everyone for coming to Mum’s funeral yesterday and making it such a special day. Mum would have loved seeing everyone together. Thanks also to Lymn funeral directors and the Rev Matt Fugill for officiating so splendidly. A great send off to a great lady, Mum, Aunty and Grandma.

I send my sympathy. Dorice was a lovely lady, remembered with affection by all my family, and in particular a good friend to my Mum Eileen for many years since their time at teacher training. I took these photos at the Gibbon Bridge restaurant in Lancashire many years ago ; as well as Dorice & Harold, they show my late parents Eileen and Geoff, and Eileen's sister Alma. All sadly gone now. ROB
