In loving memory of Peter Henry Shipton who sadly passed away on 21st January 2023.
"Dad was a proud Yorkshire man, and lifelong Sheffield Wednesday and England and Yorkshire cricket fan.
He was a gentle and caring man and who took everyone on face value.
He didn’t follow the crowd. He did his own thing because he wanted to. Evidenced by his support of Wednesday for all those years!
Dad was quietly strong of mind and body. In recent years he managed to fight significant illness numerous times but was determined to go on and never gave in.
He could be great fun to be with, and had a dry and sarcastic sense of humour.
Dad was loving. He was always supportive and always proud.
We hope you are now at peace reunited with our lovely Mum, Helen.
We will really miss you!"
