John Ritz (Passed away 15 Jan 2023)

In loving memory of John Ritz, aged 95, of Tusmore Park, Oxfordshire; Kempten, Bavaria; and for his final year, living with his family, in Week Saint Mary, Cornwall.

After a short illness John passed away peacefully with his family beside him on 15th January 2023 at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.

Much loved Dad of Karl, father-in-law to Denyse, and Opa of Harry and Lizzie, great grandfather of Sage & Roan.

Loving husband to Margaret until she passed away in 1990, and devoted partner to Traudl thereafter, Opa to Josi, Sandra & Lisa.

John was a remarkable man who lived a long, full life, and enriched the lives of all he knew and befriended over the decades in Oxfordshire, Bavaria and most recently Cornwall.

John’s funeral will be held at Glynn Valley Crematorium, Bodmin, on Thursday 16th February at 12:30, followed by the wake at Lanhydrock Golf Hotel. Family flowers only.

The family would like to invite all who knew John to a Celebration of his life at The Cricket Pavilion, Tusmore Park, Oxfordshire on Saturday April 15th at 2pm.

John had prompt and compassionate paramedic care when he was finally taken ill, and as such we would welcome donations in his memory to ‘Outreach Paramedics’. These amazing volunteers deliver ambulances and paramedic care to humanitarian crisis points. Their latest mission in 2023 is to Ukraine.
