Ann Elizabeth Clarkson (20 Feb 1954 - 6 Jan 2023)

In loving memory of Ann Elizabeth Clarkson who sadly passed away on 6th January 2023.

Ann was never that keen on the idea of formal funerals, and throughout her life said that she would much prefer hers to be a celebration of her life, rather than a mourning of her death.
With that in mind, we have decided that there will be no formal funeral service - instead, family and close friends will gather together for that celebration of Ann's life.

I am conscious that some like to offer something in place of the traditional flowers at a funeral. We, as a family, thought long and hard about what 'cause' Ann would feel the most passionately about - and a little unconventional though it may be, we all agreed that The Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover was a place she truly loved.
She visited with her family many times over the years, and the incredible displays of flying birds of prey they put on every day never failed to bring a tear to her eye. She absolutely loved the place, and loved wildlife (even though she was REALLY bad at spotting it before it flew/hopped/slithered away!).
