In loving memory of Mark Hinson who sadly passed away on 12th January 2023 following a struggle with leukaemia that tested Mark. He took on the challenge with grit and dignity for three years and showed us all what can be achieved. A remarkable man with lovely qualities, all of the team that supported him along his tough journey took to his wicked sense of humour and amazing generosity in both words and his desire to show his gratitude. Mark will leave his (Loake) foot print and love for all things wood firmly in our hearts. Marks last gesture was to make his biggest supporter, Kay, his wife. A happy day for both of them and to part company as Mr and Mrs after 25 years. Whilst life will not be the same without him, it’s been such an honour to have him as a person carved in our memories and never to be forgotten.

I got to know Mark and Kay in the last 3+ years and they always brightened up my day. Mark was the ultimate cheeky chappy and usually either smiling or bawling. He will be sorely missed by so many people xxx

I used to love chatting with you and Kay whenever you came to the hospital. Even when you weren't feeling your best you always had a sense of humour and called yourself The Crying Princess. The manner in which you dealt with your illness was amazing and inspirational and I'm so glad I knew you even for a short period of time. May you forever sleep in peace xxx
