Reginald Stopher (11 Sep 1943 - 22 Jan 2023)

In loving memory of Reginald Stopher who sadly passed away on 22nd January 2023.

Dad was a cheeky bloke, born in Chatham, Kent. He had a hard life when he was young, then joined the Army for a short period. He married Christine in his early 20's, fathering 5 children (Maria, Sean, Mark, Peter, and Donna), but unfortunately, the first Born Maria died at birth.

He was married for about 30 years, then divorced, and then on to marry Jane at a later stage of his life.

We remember many happy times with Dad, going on holiday to his favorite place Camber Sands when we were young. He was a keen gardener and often he would give us gardening advice in return Sean gave him fitness advice, of which he used to join Sean in the gym.

Dad loved Elvis Presley and would often sing his songs, he had the biggest memorabilia you could imagine, growing up on visits to the family home, it was everywhere, on the walls, shelves, and floor.

But, as we came into Christmas 2022, Dad started to complain about stomach issues, being sent to the hospital on 22nd December, and being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer with Liver Mets on the 23rd December, after 2 weeks Dad was sent to the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester and on Sunday 22nd January in the morning he passed away with his family around him.

So, shocked in under 4 weeks he declined so very fast.

To a great man, you will be so missed, R.I.P. Dad, Brother, Husband, Reg........We love you xxxx
