We lost our lovely Dad Terry on 13th January 2023.
Such a vibrant character who was so full of fun, it was tough seeing Dad's struggle with health in his final years. We are so proud of the determination, strength and courage he showed.
Born in Dagenham, Essex on 12th September 1938 to Bill and Bella, he grew up with his 2 older sisters Mary and Theresa, and 3 younger brothers Micky, Teddy and Tony. The family moved to London when Dad was 13 and South East London continued to be home until he passed away, aged 84.
He completed his National Service with the RAF and then worked in insurance and finance, until retiring at 75.
Dad married our Mum Maureen on 23rd February 1963 and they went on to become the proud and loving parents of 5 daughters, Maria, Ann, Julie, Sally and Jill.
Our Dad meant so much to us, and together with his 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, son in-laws and wider family members, we will miss him dearly.
The At Home Palliative Care Team from Guys and St Thomas’ were so amazing in Dad’s final weeks and enabled him to fulfil his wish of staying at home to the very end. For this reason we as a family are asking that instead of floral tributes, donations be made to support the work of this wonderful team. Contributions may be made at the funeral or via a link to the Just Giving Page.

Finally, Dad was always adamant that his funeral should be a celebration and not a morbid affair. For that reason, there is no obligation to wear black unless you so wish.
Thank you to those of you reading this as you will have all touched Dad’s life in some way - be it directly or through your links to us, his daughters. We know that Dad will appreciate your thoughts and prayers and will be smiling down at all of us, with Mum by his side.
Looking forward to seeing those of you who can join us on 8th February.
