In loving memory of Vernon Wood of Dover who passed away peacefully on 5th January 2023 at the Pilgrims Hospice, Canterbury.

Vernon was a Customs Officer who worked in Dover and retired just over 30 years ago in April 1992. Prior to Dover, he had worked in Goole, London and his native Glasgow where he began his career.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Gill; sons Paul and Robin; grandchildren Frankie, Craig and Freya; great grandchildren Ollie, Rupert and Zara.

The funeral will be held at Barham Crematorium near Canterbury on 9th February at 2:40 followed by a celebration of his life at the Dover Marina Hotel, Waterloo Crescent, Dover CT17 9BP.
