In loving memory of David Richard Wightman who sadly passed away on 14th January 2023

Dave was born in Edinburgh on the 18th of August 1947.
He had 2 siblings, Cherie and George.

He had 10 children; David, Carolyne, Gillian, Stuart, Katrine, Paige, Ellenor and his Bonus Children, Joshua, Wilma and Carol.

Before moving to Dover he was a Nurse in the army and was stationed in Malacca.
He told many stories of his time there and they are extremely fond memories loved by the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He then moved to Dover and met his wife Christine.
He spent the rest of his life in Dover.

However in 2013, he had a formal diagnosis of Alzheimers, for which he suffered ten long years before passing peacefully in his sleep with Christine by his side.

I remember when I was so young and I came around your house, me katrine and paige played in his lift and kept playing games on his computer. David made me feel so welcomed and he was so caring and thoughtful, I haven't seen you in a very long time but I remember all the lovely times around him and his family. You will be missed so much.

For the eldest daughter in his life that no one seems to remember or care about, I’m speaking on behalf of her at this tragic time of losing her father who she was close to in all her life she remembers the days when he was always there for her and now he gone she is lost without him. I amylee wightman her niece is finding it so hard at this moment to see how lost she is without her father and how much this is breaking her apart as she wasn’t there to say goodbye and others forget that at this moment. Carolyn has lost her mother Violet and then after a few years her older brother David and now her father, such a heart breaking scene to watch all we can do it stand beside her and she knows she will always have me, Gillian and Stuart standing with her during this sad time even though it was there father and my grandfather we are still thinking about each other during this time, because that’s what family do at this time.
