In loving memory of Ralph Morgan who sadly passed away on 6th January 2023.

Ralph was born on 12 March 1937 in Newport, South Wales to Emlyn and Dorothy Morgan. He qualified as an architect at Cardiff University, the start of a long and happy career.

Devoted husband to Barbara, his childhood sweetheart, who he married in August 1960 and now leaves behind. They had many happy years together, living in places as diverse as Yemen and Caerleon, Malta and Cardiff, Saudi Arabia and France, before settling down in the West Country and, finally, Rochester.

Ralph was an avid rugby union fan and lifelong Wales supporter.

Doting father to Nicola and Mathew, and adoring grandad to Ethan, Nathan and Cara.

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, a truly one in a million fabulous man who left smiles and laughter wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Thank you, Ralphie, for our very special friendship over the past 45 years. You opened the door for us to enjoy together so many fabulous holiday adventures in France, Malta, Crete and Spain, culminating in us buying our small cottage near to you and Barbara in Plougourvest.
Thank you for your infectious passion for everything Welsh, particularly Welsh rugby. We’ve been dedicated Welsh supporters ever since we met.
Thank you for your wonderful dry sense of humour and for so many happy memories, Ralphie; for your positive jovial witticisms even when the chips were down; for your trust, honesty and wise counsel and for sharing with us your love of red wine and Brains SA.
Just one of our fond memories of you, Ralphie, is on a lovely warm summer afternoon in Plougourvest. We arrived at your home in Le Stang to find you sitting in the front garden reading your book, basking topless in the glorious sunshine with a large glass of red wine. You were so happy and welcoming and we finished the bottle together.
We’ve shared your affection for a rather special bear and we’ll always treasure the pictures of Rupert you drew for us
You will always be in our hearts, Ralphie.
With love and thanks
Gel and Ade

To the end faithful and true to the land Cymru
Fed from the bread of heaven till he wanted no more
With a heart full of goodness and love, no need for Wordly wealth
A Welsh Giant never shall we see his like again
So I will shed a tear, and raise a toast to you my old friend.
