Pat Anning (28 Feb 1931 - 1 Jan 2023)

In loving memory of Pat Anning who sadly passed away on 1st January 2023.

Pat was born on 28 February 1931 to John and Dorothy Bance. She had an elder brother, Peter, and younger sister, Brenda. Her adored father was a dentist and had surgeries at home in Wembley and Wilsden.

She married Tony in 1955 and in December 2022 they celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. In 1965 they moved to Bristol, where they lived for the next 49 years.

Joy, with the arrival of their daughter Sally, turned to tragedy when she died suddenly of meningitis two years later; Pat never fully got over this. Shortly after, Mark and Rachel were born and the family was complete.

Pat’s family were her inspiration for living, and along with her five children she was blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren – six goddaughters and one godson.

Pat and Tony moved to Warsash some ten years ago to be nearer Rachel and their youngest grandchildren. As declining health allowed, they were active members of the local community, particularly the local church.

Pat’s ashes will be interred in Bristol alongside her dear daughter Sally – reunited again on earth as well as in heaven.
