In loving memory of James Frederick William Shave 'Jim' who sadly passed away on 23rd December 2022, aged 83 years.

Our much-loved Dad, Grandad and devoted husband passed away peacefully at home.

Jim was a larger-than-life character who adored his family and friends.

For almost all of his life he lived in Old Newton, he was devoted to the village he was born and died in.

He was a natural sportsman. Football was his early passion but playing Bowls became a big part of his life. Jim's second home was the bowls green and the members and players his extended family.

When he wasn't walking up and down the bowls green he loved to waltz and quick step on the dance floor with Irene, enjoying regular dances and making lifelong friends.

The family will be celebrating Jim's life on Thursday 26th January at 10.30am at The Seven Hills Crematorium.

The family invites you to join them at The Old Newton Sports and Social Club, Church Road, Old Newton IP14 4ED afterwards.

For those wishing to attend please be aware that some family members are immunosuppressed and we ask that you do not attend if you are unwell or have Covid - thank you.
