Dee, I cannot believe I am writing this. Our friendship online for many years, and meeting on the Ipswich Quay when you first got the diagnosis. It was going to be the start of many meet ups whenever I was up there, but sadly it didn't.
I miss your inspirational Instagram posts to help me on my low days, your cleaning to do lists to motivate me, and your selfies with your gorgeous family, rating the films at the cinema and going on dog walks.
Please know you were loved and you were one of the very few people in life I'd consider a true friend to me.
I may not know your family well, but I will always be there if they ever need, and I will always tell them how proud of them you were. In one coffee session you spoke so beautifully about each of them, with such love and pride, and the funeral today they did you proud. They have your strength, your non-judgmental, happy outlook, and the love you gave them has set them up for life.
You will live on through your husband, children and grandson, and I know you will never ever leave their side, like the protective lioness and Matriarch that you are.
I miss you Dee,
Claire xxx
