I was pleased to have had a good chat on the phone with Beryl soon after Terry’s funeral. She seemed, very much her usual self and seemed to have everything under control. She told me how much she missed Terry not being there. We also talked about our days out together & lunches. It was always full of laughter & fun. Sue & I will miss them both very much. Do not forget that behind every great man there is an equally great woman.
The day of the funeral is also my Birthday so unfortunately we will not attend but would like a link to the service.
We will endeavour to send some flowers but if not, a cheque will be sent to Cancer Research.
Our love & thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
Rob & Sue Hillsides

Such very sad news but so thankful that my Mum and me managed to catchup on FaceTime a few weeks before Beryl left us. Such a lovely lady and I have such fond memories of visiting you all in Sidcup when we were little. At least she is at peace now and reunited with your lovely Dad, together again. Love to you and all your family xxx

I wasn’t aware she had gone I’m so sorry and weather permitting I will attend the funeral but not the wake. I hope the end was peaceful and it was a good death. Once again I’m so sorry for your loss it’s the end of an era

  • Hi Margaret. I am very sorry you found out this way but unfortunately mum and dads telephone book was hard to navigate so couldn’t find everyone’s numbers. Mum went downhill quickly and ended her days in Bexley hospice. The care she received was lovely and she was happy to be in there. She wanted to be with dad in the end and died peacefully. Andrea x
