Missing you every day x
Dan McGlynn (18 Sep 1967 - 18 Nov 2022)
In loving memory of Dan who sadly passed away on 18th November 2022
Daniel Allen McGlynn was a child of the summer of love, born in a London that was sipping at the time with progressive ideals, love, peace and music. His first name honours his Jewish heritage and his middle, Jimi Hendrix. Music was to be the constant in his life.
Being made of sound and light himself, he made a living as an Audiovisual Engineer for over 35 years, running his own company, DM Audio Visual Ltd until cancer, a work injury and a global pandemic forced him to take a break. A talented engineer, accomplished director and excellent administrator, he was particularly known for his novelty solutions and for being fair, honest and generous with his time.
But Dan was so much than this. His hyperactive mind was always racing, and the variety of his interests was extraordinary: science, astronomy, technology, photography, nature, and of course, music, always music. He loved sharing his latest discoveries and would usually be found having lengthy conversations about everything and anything with friends and strangers.
He was flooded with intense and unfiltered emotions and put his soul into everything he did. He looked at the world in wonder and took everything that life offered as a precious gift. I watched him in awe for twenty years and it was my fortune and privilege to share my life with him.
Dan made the world a better place. You knew him, so you know I am not biased. Please share below your memories of him and keep his light shining.
