Barry loved his garden. We will particularly remember him for his green bean poles! He tended to the beans morning, noon and night, watering them and picking off the pests. It was a obviously a labour of love for him. He told us he never ate them himself, but grew them to give to his family. We always imagined his family with copious amounts of green beans in their freezers!

Barbara Pilgrim donated £30 in memory of Barry,

With fond memories of Barry, our neighbour for over 16 years. Alzheimer's Research UK is a special cause to us too, as (Barbara) my own father also suffered from this disease. We will miss seeing Barry out in his beloved garden and chatting over the fence.

We were very sad to hear of Barry’s passing.
Barry was our only cousin on either side of our family. Our dad, Ron Kemsley was Auntie Wins only brother. We always loved it when Barry and his family came to visit us as children in Hartfield and we visited them in East Grinstead.
Our last recorded memory of Barry was at our late sister Angela’s 60th birthday in 2007, photo attached, of which we have very fond memories.Angela and Barry had a very special relationship, she was ten years younger but Barry treated us all like his sisters.

We are sorry we can’t be with you to share in the celebration of Barry’s life and reminisce with everyone, but please know we are thinking of you all.
Sending you love and hugs from New Zealand.
Sue and Heather.
