Duncan Ure (23 Aug 1954 - 23 Nov 2022)

In loving memory of Duncan Ure who sadly passed away on 23rd November 2022, aged 68 years.

Duncan was a doting Husband, Brother, Cousin, Father & Granda to Lucas & Nova. He was also a great friend to many who were lucky to have known him. He was most happy when spending time with his family & visiting his beloved Ballantrae on one of his many camping & fishing trips with his Wife Linda, Sons, Duncan & Iain & most recently his Grandson Lucas.

Duncan was born in Ayr, 1954 & shortly thereafter moved to Rutherglen & then later on Spittal. It was here that he met Linda his wife & they were married for 43 years right up to Duncan’s passing.

Duncan enjoyed a life in the Royal Navy as a Clearance Diver where he managed to travel the world. Once he left the forces he then became a painter & decorator up until he retired.

A lot of people will have their own memories of Duncan & we would like if you could share them to keep his memory alive.
