Patricia Ann Ruth (27 May 1947 - 22 Nov 2022)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Patricia Ann Ruth who sadly passed away on 22nd November 2022.
The family are asking for close-family flowers only please. If you would like to make a donation, they'll be a donation box at the funeral which will be passed onto Edenhurst Care Home. Pat became part of their family during her 4 years at the home and our family would like all contributions to be shared with them so that they can continue to honour her life through activities and celebrations that she enjoyed so much.
Pat was loved by so many over the years, from all the children she cared for, to those she fostered and to all the countless lives she touched through her community centre work. She always had time for people and saw the good in everyone, it didn't matter if the love wasn't reciprocated, she was a mother to all.
Pat couldn't go out in Nottingham without somebody knowing her and asking how she was, with some recalling memories of their childhood and how Pat meant so much to them.
It was no different for her close friends and family, especially her six children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her children had the most loving upbringing and that love never stopped throughout her whole life. Whilst she was a mother to everyone, her kids know how special it was to have her as 'Mum'.
The special person in Pat's life was her husband Joe. A boy from Belfast who shared amazing memories with her over the years and who's Irish family took her as one of their own. She was a Ruth who loved her Guinness until the end. Pat and Joe were the best of people, kind, supportive and there when you needed them.
Pat spent the latter part of life without Joe after he sadly passed in 2005, yet today we are comforted in knowing that the best mum in the world can dance with him once more.
