In loving memory of Victor Edward Rouse, who suddenly and sadly passed away on 18th October 2022, aged 81. Vic was born on the 12th of September 1941, a wonderful son to Albert and Muriel (Doll) Rouse. He was the second eldest of four sons, the eldest being Brian, and his younger brothers Derek and Dennis. He was also brother-in law to Doreen and Christine. Vic was the best-ever Uncle to Deborah, Pamela, Derek, Lee, Paul and Dean. He was also the most amazing great-Uncle to Matthew, Lindsey, Jade, Aidan, Luke, Cemil, Skye, Dennie, Kerry and Victoria, and a great-great-Uncle to Izzy, Finn, Albie-Lee, Paisley, Clay, Willow and Ann-Marie.

Vic lived in Fulham all his life and had many jobs as a youngster - he worked in a funeral parlour and then became a Dustman until he retired.

Vic never married but he never needed to because he was surrounded by love from everyone who knew him. The most kind, generous, thoughtful person you could ever wish to meet and a proper gentleman who cared and looked after everyone.

Vic came to stay with his brother Brian and wife Doreen every weekend while they lived in Epsom. He loved Racing and helped at the Racing Stables where Brian worked and in Sid Dobson's betting shop in Epsom. He was incredibly proud of the achievements of his brother Brian and followed him religiously throughout his career until Brian retired. He recently took a great interest in the career of his great-nephew Aidan, and we are so pleased that he got to see Aidan win the "Cambridgeshire" at Newmarket a few weeks before he passed away. Vic loved and was incredibly proud of all his family.

When Brian moved to Newdigate he continued to visit there at weekends and stay with them, and after Doreen passed away and Brian moved to Pease Pottage, he stayed with his nieces Pamela and Deborah. He made many friends over the years in Epsom and Newdigate and will be sorely missed by all of them.

Vic also owned many greyhounds, some successful at Wimbledon.

He was also a dedicated Fulham supporter and will be fondly remembered for being very animated when watching their matches.

They totally broke the mould when they made Vic, and he can never be replaced in our lives. Our hearts are broken but we are so blessed and grateful to have had Vic in our lives. We will remember the happy times of joy, laughter, and mishaps (we will laugh forever about the holiday mishaps, too unbelievable and too numerous to mention – thank God he was insured).

We will love and miss you forever. Rest in peace Vic, until we meet again - from all your loving family and many friends. In the words of Vic himself, "Take care, see you later and be lucky".
