On 11th October at Currergate Nursing Home, Lora aged 86 years of Flappit Springs. Beloved wife of the late Robert, much loved mum of Eric, Audrey and Richard, a loving grandma and great grandma and a friend to many.
When it was time to meet the future mother-in-law for the first time I was filled with dread (but not as much as meeting Bob!). I needn't have worried because I soon learnt that she was a warm and loving person. She always ensured there was a slice of stand pie for when I visited. Lora, you will be missed.

There are so many fond memories I have of you but one which stands out for me is when Nancy used to come over when Craig and I stayed with you. I’m sure you both enjoyed a scotch or two together and we didn’t have a clue what Nancy was saying because of her strong Scottish accent, but you were so happy, and your laughter always filled the room.
It is your laughter and cheekiness that I will remember and miss most – something I am so thankful to have inherited from you.
