Peter Barton (12 Oct 1940 - 17 Oct 2022)

In loving memory of Peter Barton who sadly passed away on 17th October 2022.

Peter Charles Barton, born on 12th October 1940, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years Jean, his son Carl, his daughter Claire, his son in law Danny, and his four grandchildren, Ben, Abi, Sam and Ayden.

Peter seemed to touch the hearts of so many over the years, he always wanted to help people, and made so many lives better with his generosity and care.

He told us in the last few weeks of his life that his wishes were to have his ashes scattered under the tree in our local park, next to the war memorial, he also asked that we would perhaps arrange for a memorial bench in this park, as it’s somewhere that we walk every day and would be a precious memory of what he meant to us.

We kindly ask that instead of sending flowers to the funeral, a small donation to cancer research uk would be much appreciated.

We will never forget you, we will love you forever.
