In loving memory of Clare Eleanor Hand (nee Woolsey) who sadly passed away on 12th October 2022, aged 33 years old.
Clare loved horses (Bella and Woody), who she enjoyed with her Sister Fliss who also had a passion for horses. Clare had many interests throughout her life including trampolining, gymnastics, swimming and especially singing at family events and occasions, most notably at her Brother Ben's wedding to Fern.
She loved her two nephews, Oliver and Maverick, and took great delight in baking treats with them. She shared their childish humour and often had them in stitches.
Clare had a great passion for driving and owned many cars in her lifetime. Her most cherished car was a silver Ford Fiesta Zetec S which was fully kitted out with a stack of CDs of all her favourite singers including Adele, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Eva Cassidy. Clare loved her Dad's Aston Martin Volante which she was allowed to drive on a special Sunday afternoon.
Clare's other passion was for clothes shopping with her Mum and trying on multiple outfits squashed in the same changing room. Handbags, gladrags and bling were Clare's signature style.
Clare married Dan on 11th May 2019 and enjoyed several happy years together in Lenham, and a shared love of fast cars and trucks.
She held a variety of jobs including working in retail, catering and the care sector, all involving working with the public. She was a people person whose happy place was helping other people. Despite this, she fought with her mental health most of her adult life, and fought this to the bitter end.
Clare was much loved by her friends and family and will never be forgotten.
Gentle Jesus, meek and mild,
Look upon a little child;
Pity my simplicity,
Suffer me to come to Thee.
