Reuben Finley Woods (11 Apr 2022 - 8 Oct 2022)

In loving memory of Reuben Finley Woods who sadly passed away on 8th October 2022.

Reuben suffered a stroke and severe brain injury around the time of birth. He was not expected to survive in the early days of his life, but our beautiful boy was a fighter and he fought to spend time with his family. He came home after 8 weeks in hospital and we enjoyed making memories with him at home, also squeezing in two family holidays in his short life. Reuben passed away peacefully in his Daddy’s arms on a sunny autumnal morning. We are so grateful we were able to spend the last 6 months with our baby. A true warrior.

We have nominated two charities for any donations in Reuben’s memory. A charity called Peeps HIE which is the first UK charity dedicated to helping families with children who have suffered brain injuries similar to Reuben. This one is particularly close to our hearts as we would like to help people in a similar situation to ourselves.
You can also choose to donate to Rainbows Hospice who do so many great things for children and young people with life limiting illnesses and we were able to take Reuben in their hydrotherapy pool for his first time in a pool.
