Veronica Camelia May Taylor (née Hodkinson), beloved mother and grandmother, age 84, of Bessacarr, Doncaster, South Yorkshire passed away peacefully on September 10, 2022. She was born on November 22, 1937 in Doncaster to Ninian and Violet (née Edwards) Hodkinson. Veronica began working as a shorthand typist and later became a market researcher for Taylor Nelson where she advanced to the role of Area Manager for the North of England. She loved to drive and travelled extensively for her work, she trained many new recruits and formed deep and lasting friendships with colleagues throughout her successful 30-year career.
She met her husband of 51 years, Arthur Taylor, while singing in the church choir at Loversall. They were married at St. Katherine’s Church, Loversall, on July 7, 1958. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary with a cruise down the River Nile with their children and grandchildren. Veronica loved to travel the world. She loved to be outside in warm and sunny weather in her garden or on a beach. She loved butterflies and was an ardent fan of Formula 1. Veronica was a two-time cancer survivor. She always enjoyed life to the full with gratitude and a kind and loving spirit.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by daughter Sarah (stillborn); her parents Ninian (1909-1976) and Violet (1912-2010); and her husband, Arthur (1935-2009). Veronica is survived by her sons Stephen (Julie) Taylor; Nicholas (Brenda) Taylor; grandsons Kyle (Rebekah) Taylor; Christopher (Jessica) Taylor; Matthew (Aneta) Taylor; granddaughter Lauren (Sam) Taylor; great-grandchildren Natalia Taylor and Alex Taylor and many loving and caring friends.

This will be a memorial service in remembrance of Veronica's life, followed by the interment of her ashes in St. Katherine's Churchyard immediately after the service.
