It is with heavy hearts to announce that Beryl Anne Brown was taken by the angels to heaven on the 1st October 2022. Beryl was taken by the Angels at the age of 75 after fighting a battle with COPD and cancer. She passed at home with her Husband Michael and son Nigel by her side.

Beryl was born on the 26th Febuary 1947 by Derrick and Ada Hall in Nottingham. Beryl grew up to become the eldest sibling of Jane, Jil and Brian. Beryl went to school in Nottingham and later ended getting a job Making baby's bonnets.

Whilst on holiday in Skegness with her mother and father at the age of 15, she met her Future partner and Husband Michael Brown, who later found out they lived fairly close together. When Beryl was on her lunch break, Michael used to walk up to meet her at work, and they become the turtle doves of love. This later blossomed into them getting married on the 30th October 1965. After getting married to Michael, they had three children, Lee, Carl and Nigel.

Michael and Beryl, ended up owning a shop in Sherwood Rise, that sold cobs, takeaway food and cigarettes, Beryls sister Jane used to work there with them. Beryl was always greeting people with open arms, smiles and laughter. Sadly, the shop they owned was broken into, all the cigarettes were taken and left them wanting to move.

Michael and Beryl then ended moving upstairs of a store that they had recently bought in Gedling, moving in with their son's Lee, Carl and Nigel. Even after the tragicness of their last store, Beryl didn't give up. Good job they didn't cause the store they owned was open for 4 years. unfortunately tragic struck again, after the long 4 years the shop closed. Leaving Beryl and Mick and their sons on the brink of nothing. Michael and Beryl ended up moving in with Beryl's mother and father sharing a one bedroom for them all. In the brink of everything Beryl decided to book a holiday to Wales to take a break.

Beryl went for a minor surgery before the holiday where the doctors accidentally punctured her bowels, where she suffered internal bleeding and rushed her into hospital. The doctors did well to fight and save her life. Beryl was a fighter and pulled through perfectly fine. Sadly though she never got the holiday they had planned.

After Coming out of hospital they moved to their current address where their life could slow down and relax, Beryl spent most of her time out in the garden, planting flowers. She didn't mind get her hands dirty, weather it was in the garden making it look nice, or in the house making their house a home.

Beryl absolutely loved her Magnolia trees and flowers there wasn't a time you wouldn't see her in the garden with her gloves tending to her flowers. When she wasn't in the garden, she would be making sure her home was perfect, as she used to say "my way is the only way" everything was cleaned and done perfectly.

After spending time at the new home Michael and Beryl started to host big family get together every Christmas and New Year's Eve, Beryl would invite all friends and family and cook big meals host big parties so she could share her love and affection. Beryl would greet everyone with open arms, big smiles and make sure you had a drink in your hand. Beryl was always the life of the parties.

Beryl used to love Fishing in her spare time; she loved sitting there chilling relaxing with a hope to catch that big fish. She loved fishing that much, she got Michael, Lee, Carl and Nigel all start to share the same passion. Beryl used to take her sons night fishing, watching her smile whenever a fish was caught was always the highlight of any fishing trip.

As the years went by, and her sons moved out, she spent majority of her time, Fishing with Michael or in the garden, going to garden centres, days outs, and going on holidays. Beryl was not the person to sit inside, she always had to be doing something she loved.

Beryl later became a grandmother and Great grandmother, of which she loved very dearly. She would take them to parks, take them out for meals, to the zoo, on holidays, Beryl truly did love all of her grandkids more than words could ever say.

Sadly, Beryl became ill, she was diagnosed with COPD and lung cancer. This devastated her it started to stop her from doing the things she loved but Beryl didn't give up. She continued to fight and continued to shower everyone with her love even through her toughest of times. Beryl fought hard through her radiotherapy continuing to fight, things was looking up then sadly to be told she now had gotten breast cancer.

Beryl still continued to fight, continued to spread her love and her smiles to everyone. She was unbelievably strong. When people were upset, she would pick them up, when people cried, she was a shoulder to cry on. You honestly couldn't off asked for a better person.

Beryl sadly got worse with her condition, and the more she fought, the more tired she became. she went to bed, and the angels said it was her time. They took Beryl to the heavens to look down and wait for us to reunite. She will forever be looking down from the clouds and pearly gates and making sure we're all stay as strong as she was. Sending us her love and keeping us in her heart.

Rest in peace Beryl, we will never forget the joys and the smiles you put on all of our faces every day.
We will reunite with you soon and continue to remember all the memories you have given us.

as we used to say "good night, god bless"

p.s "have i told you i love you today?"
