Well Dad, I can't believe this day has come. I miss you so very much and could do with you here now to make me laugh. My only comfort is to think of you smiling from ear to ear when you found yourself back with Mum. You have left so many happy memories of all the good times. Thank you for everything. I see you in my dreams. Night night, sleep tight until we meet again xx ❤️

So my favourite uncle finally left us. I still remember the visits you made to Cliffe when I was a nipper. ALWAYS laughing and joking. ALWAYS. And you never lost your sense of humour, even at the end. What memories. Fare ye well Uncle Dave.

Dear Dad, I know it was the Alzheimer’s that made you call me “Eileen” but it still made us laugh. That was you all over and throughout our lives, bringing fun and laughter wherever you went. I am so grateful for the time that we got to spend with you, especially the holidays where you lead us with your foreign language skills. I will miss you more than you know but I’m glad that you are back with the love of your life, my Mum. Rest in peace Dad, love Mark 💔
