Magdaleen Maida Maultby (4 Jul 1926 - 13 Sep 2022)

In loving memory of Magdaleen Maida Maultby who sadly passed away on 13th September 2022. Maida was born in Secunderabad, India where she lived until she was 3 years old. She had 2 elder brothers, whom she was very proud of. She moved to Cove, Farnborough where she met her husband to be Sid.

They lived in Cove until their early retirement when they moved down to Dorset where they enjoyed many happy years together enjoying their walks and making new friends. After her husband died in 2010, Maida stayed down there on her own 5 years and then decided to move to Chelmsford to be near family.

The last 12 years she joined in family events and Christmases with family and made new friends in Chelmsford at Age Concern and Chelmsford Centre for the Blind. She was also thought of very fondly by her neighbours at Balmoral Court where she lived until admitted to hospital on 23rd July 2022. Family have many happy memories of those times.

Although this is a sad time, we also want to celebrate her long life and a very happy marriage. RIP Maida
