Dear Carole,
I fell in love with you when you walked into our lives all those years ago!! Mind you I was only an impressionable 8 year old, and you were a very self-possessed young lady of 16.

That didn't stop me from trying to impress you though. I even accepted a ride on Sally's unruly pony "Fury", just because you had offered to lead me. Inevitably I fell off and broke my elbow, much to your mortification. It did the trick though, I felt we had a mutual bond from then on. ( and I had something to remember you by……a right arm that I could never fully straighten again from then on!!).

We could go years without seeing you, but you were always the same jolly self when we did. Today we have said goodbye to you for the last time Carole, and the Lamin family will miss you very much. With love, John.

Carole was such a lovely, warm lady I've looked after for only 2 weeks and I will always cherish the nice moments we had together.

I will remember Carole teasing Paul on Sunday 13 th September about that she was going to vote for Jeremy Corbyn as he was so good looking . She thought he could be another silver fox , ( like George Clooney and their ilk ) and she had such a good laugh at Pauls amazement . Sadly her health declined very quickly after that . She is now at peace . Hamba Gashle ( Go well )

As a carer and a friend it was a pleasure to have known Carole these last few months. Although Carole struggled she put on a brave face and was determined to get out and enjoy life as best as she could.
One of my fondest memories amongst many were on her last birthday when she looked very happy.
Bless you rest in peace. Sandra

Carole first came into our lives as a beautiful, confident sixteen year old asking to ride my Mums horse whilst dressed in a fir coat! To say we were apprehensive was an understatement, I remember we all looked out of he window to watch, but of course she was fine!

It was not long before Carole wished for a horse of her own and her beloved "Pinky" was bought and the string of horses continued.

We had many crazy rides together through Bestwood woods and on through the Bestwood Lodge army camp where her dad, Major Reed was based and the Reeds at that time lived. They then moved to Blidworth before eventually settling in Aslockton.

Carole had a hectic life with her assignments as a model and then with her job as an air hostess and afterwards as rep for a fabric company. I always remember Carole had the ability to walk into a room and turn peoples heads with her stunning looks, beaming smile and happy nature.

Although recently, I did not see as much of you Carole, as I would have wished, I have so many lovely memories of you which I will cherish. Rest in peace Sally xxx

We only had the pleasure of dealing with Carole for a very short time but everyone spoke very highly of her and the way that she dealt with her illness.

My Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. I will always remember Carole fondly and will have wonderful memories of many times spent caring for her. She leaves behind a wonderful network of friends whom she called her family (Mary Mackie, The Fowlers, Kathy, district nurse "Magic" Maggie and many others who were closely apart of her life, sorry I'm not able to recall all, but I know you will all be a great source of comfort and support to one another.
In life, there are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can not live without but have to let go. Carole may have left this earth, but will always live in our hearts and minds. Please accept my condolences, she will not be forgotten.
