I would look forward to spending the long summer holidays with Betty and Fred in Kent, which was a long 8 hour drive from South Wales, they were both like second parents to me, we had such great times together, I spent every day with Betty while Fred was in Work, each day was filled with laughter and love and the odd telling off!! I will always remember that part of my life, thank you for everything you did for us all. You are the last of your Generation you will be sadly missed.

In loving memory of Harriet Rebecca Bass who sadly passed away on 23rd August 2022
Our loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother sadly passed away peacefully on the of 23rd August 2022 at Valley View Care Home in Rochester.
Harriet, or Betty as she was known, by all that knew her, had suffered for some time, but suffers no more.
She will be sorely missed by her husband, Fred, her two children, Paula & Martin, her Daughter-in-Law Karen, and her two Grandchildren, Aaron & Sophie. She was over-joyed that she got to meet her Great Grandson, Freddie, who she adored.
Betty was a kind and caring woman who, came to live in Kent some 60 years ago to live with Fred, but her heart has always been back in her homeland of South Wales, where she grew up.
She came from a big family of mainly men and she was the youngest, but sadly, she was the last of the survivors from that generation.
She was always thinking of others and would do whatever she could to help. Her family meant the world to her and apart from worrying about them all the time, she was proud of them all for the people they have become and for all their various achievements in life.
Her sense of humour often shone through and along with her kind nature, she had a sense of fun, especially around children.
She will be missed every single day.
The family would like to thank those who have already sent messages of condolence and best wishes.
Please be known that anyone is welcome to share in the farewell to Betty at The Garden of England Crematorium in Bobbing on Friday 30th September at 3pm.
The service will be broadcast live via a video stream.
