Laurie Newns BVet Med MRCVS (23 May 1938 - 30 Aug 2022)
In loving memory of James Lawrence Newns BVet Med MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon and Homeopath, formerly of Middleway, Par, who passed away peacefully at The Downes Residential Care Home, Hayle, on 30th August 2022, aged 84 years.
Beloved father of Alex, Suzie and William and grandfather of Sophie, Ben, Alfie, Sacha, Grace and Isabella.
The family wishes to express their immense gratitude for the exemplary care and compassion shown by staff at The Downes care home.
A Private Funeral Service will be held. Donations in memory of ‘Laurie’, for Vetlife, can be made using the Just Giving link at the top of this page or by cheque, payable to the charity and sent to the Funeral Directors, F. D. We have the best memories of James - he was an amazing and lovely man. He helped our animals and us and he taught us so much - we are forever grateful for time spent with him. His wise words will stay with us forever. Bless you James and RIP.

It is with great sadness to learn of James' passing.
He was a unique and outstanding man who helped my late wife Catherine, our dogs, our Canine Healthcare organisation, and many of its members.
An incredibly talented homeopath and grounded man whose spirit shone brightly on the earth and no doubt will continue to shine forever more.
