I met Helena last year and we immeadiately clicked. She was bright, bubbling, beautiful and had a wicked sense of humour. She always knew what to say whatever the situation even if that was to ask for a selfie when she wanted one. I will never forget her gorgeous smile and equally beautiful personality. Helena will be remembered and missed for being a wonderful girl who loved to smile. Rest in peace, Lay. xx

I met Helena through my son. From the first time I met her I felt as if I had known her for ages. She was an absolute delight to have around. She lit up everywhere around her, a truly lovely person. I grew very fond of her very quickly. A true angel has left us but there is a special place set aside for Helena within my heart. May her memory live on forever.

  • I went to primary school with Helena. We had so many memories together in school. I remember when she came to visit me when I broke my leg. She was a bright and bubbly girl who will be dearly missed. May she rest in peace

As Helena's form tutor for 5 years, I got to see her grow up into such a beautiful, intelligent, kind young lady. It was an absolute pleasure to have known her and I am so sorry that she is no longer with you. She was such a special part of our form and I know the other kids are as heart broken as I am.
May she rest in peace and I hope you find some comfort from how loved she is by so many.

Sharron & Glen

It has taken me over a week to be able to write you a message of condolence, as my mind has been quite literally numb with shock and disbelief. I can't believe that the girl I remember as a friendly young lady, with a ready smile has been snatched from you. As her past teacher I will always remember Helena as hard working and conscientious with her work. As the mother of one her oldest school friends, from the Foundation class at St Modwen's, I will always remember how friendly she was, and thoughts of the Birthday Party you had at Swad Ski Centre have been going through my mind.

I can't begin to offer you any words of comfort, but know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

With my most sincerest condolences.

Sharron & Glen,
How shocked & saddened to realise it was such a beautiful girl inside & out who had gone. I remember Helena from junior school always smiling & saying hello whenever I saw her. She had grown into the prettiest girl & other than sending you my heartfelt condolences I am at a loss as to what to say that may give you some comfort. I will be thinking of you over the next few days.
With love

As an old school colleague of Glen, I was deeply shocked and saddened when this news came to my attention. I'm not sure anything I say could make a difference. I have found the value of family and friends at a time like this. They helped me get through hard days when I lost someone close. I know friends and family will be there for you if you need them. Even a slight distraction can just take your mind off the sadness, and it isn't a betrayal to forget for a few seconds so you can just catch your breath.

May I offer my sincerest condolences and just sign off by saying what a beautiful daughter with a wonderful smile you had. It looked like it could light up a room and make all who saw it smile too. I envy the angels that they still get to see it and the world does not.

Take Care

Jonathan

  • Just wanted to say thank you for inviting me to attend in the above message. If I hadn't been out of Burton that week I would have liked to pay my respects in person. I hope the day gave you a little comfort. Reading the above messages, from people in all areas of Helena's life, you wouldn't have to know her to see how much she was loved by so many. Kind wishes Jonathan
