I have know you from Walbrook House, a good neighbour with positive attitude, made sure your family especially kids education was so effective, Donald, Amara and your twin sister Onyenye. Sometimes in life, we experience inexplicable situations that test the mettle of our faith in God. We are persuaded to ask God questions, urgent and logical questions. But one thing is certain. God knows everything. He is a God of purpose and there is no accident in His sight. Whatever He allows to happen to His children will ultimately bring glory to Him. Who knows if He has given Donald a higher responsibility in heaven. Who knows if heavens are celebrating the return of a saint. Who knows if God is speaking to someone through the departure of Donald? Our experiences, good, bad or ugly are not as significant as much as the lessons we take out from them. Life is a temporary gift from God. God is never silent, never absent and never dustant in whatever His children pass through. May the peace of God abide with the entire Amadi family.

TRIBUTE TO DONALD AMADI, A GENTLE GEM OF A FRIEND AND BROTHER WHO GRACED OUR OGSSIAN CLASS OF ‘71 BUT IS NO MORE

It is a great feat to write this tribute on behalf of the OGSSIAN Class of ‘71 without personalizing it. Your demise was the greatest shock in our Class as the news was completely unexpected by most. Those who were aware of your challenge prayed and called upon God’s mercy on this but like the Bible says, “Who says and it happens except the LORD has commanded it.” It pleased the LORD to call you home at this time and no man could change this verdict. The best professionals at home and abroad did their best but the time allotted to you was over.

The memory of our last video call, as you dabbed your eyes with the napkin, knowing the inevitable that I was unaware of, refuses to go away. We were great friends at OGSSIAN but became best friends post-OGSSIAN. As you are laid to rest from earth labour, we at OGSSIAN Class of ‘71 pray to meet you on the LORD’s side of the divide on the last day in Jesus’ name.

All of us at OGSSIAN Class of ‘71 are saying, Adieu dear friend and brother! May your soul rest in peace!

Bishop Ukaegbu Ogwo
(On behalf of OGSSIAN Class of ‘71)

  • Those we love never die in our hearts. Donald, you will not die. It is pretty difficult to say goodbye right now. Your effervescent love touched lives. In truth, life is journey. We all have our appointed time to get down from the train and walk towards home. Go in peace. May the good Lord receive your soul.

Dear Sir Amadi,

*Condolence Massage*.

I, on behalf of the Executive and your entire kinsmen of Durueke Family Meeting, write to express our deep condolences over the painful and unfortunate death of our son, brother and father, late Pharmacist Donald Chizomam Amadi.

When the sad news of his death hit the community on the morning of 29th July 2022, we had wished it was a dream. But now it has become a reality, we cannot question God but obey biblical injunction which enjoins us to be thankful in every situation.

This is indeed a collective loss of the entire Durueke family and we sincerely share in the pains of the Amadi family. Yet as the chief mourner, we urge you to take solace in the fact that you both enjoyed excellent brotherhood while he lived.

As the family prepares for his interment today the 39th of September2022, we pray the good Lord to give us all the fortitude to overcome the pains, make adequate provisions for his burial and above all, comfort the family.
It is well.

Morgan my brother this is really sad. Words fail me in striving to come to terms with this loss. Not too long after Bethel!

All we can do is to console your family at this time and surrendering to the will of the almighty God.

May Donald's soul and the soul of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. It is well my brother.
