Chris was born and raised in Margate, Kent on the 7th November 1964 and after 16 years of causing trouble and being one of the lads he went on to join the British Army and serve for the next 15 years.

He always spoke fondly of his time in the army and the people he served with but in the late 90s decided to leave and reside in Nottingham. From here he worked as a truck driver for a local firm and then went on to join Nottingham City Council.
After some years of driving for the council he planted the seed and got the ball rolling for them to start their HGV driver training and go on to be their driver trainer and all round go to man.

Chris was always cracking jokes and coming out with witty remarks while making people smile even in the times of being deadly serious but he always got away with it while never taking life too seriously.

He was also a massive petrolhead and loved anything to do with motorcycles or off-roading, he believed age was just another number and was always keen to book the next race even at the age of 57.

He was always just one phone call away from helping anyone that needed it while spending countless hours in the garage either fixing cars, rebuilding bikes, polishing or just generally tinkering.

His passing was a real shock for all that knew him and will be missed by so many.

In loving memory of Christopher Norton who sadly passed away on 1st August 2022
