Peacefully in hospital on August 7th aged 89 years, Tommy (Frederick Desmond). The dearly loved husband of the late Hilda. A much loved dad of Susan, Shirley and Julie. A loved father-in-law and a devoted grandad of Becky and Issy. Friends please meet on Monday August 22nd a service in St Andrew’s Church, Chilton Moor at 11.00am. Interment to follow in Lumley Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu will be kindly accepted for a charity to be chosen by the family. A donation box will be provided at the church. So sorry to hear this sad news. Fond memories of Tommy and my Mam and Dad (Ponty and Evelyn Purvis) putting the world to rights around the dining room table. Lovely man who will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.
