In loving memory of Margaret Hannaford who sadly passed away on 29th July 2022.

As some of you will know that both Sam & I have seen frequent appearances of butterflies 🦋 in the both the front & back garden prior and post Margaret’s passing and so frequent are their appearances that it’s impossible to ignore. Reading more about this it seems that butterflies symbolise connection to life force and the spirit. In some cultures, the butterfly even represents the human soul and with the Christian belief in heaven and the ascension of the spirit….this is something that we feel reassures us at such sad moments of grief and with the loving support of friends, neighbours and family we can all remember Mum/Margaret with fondness and laughter. We will all miss those quirky tales and advice on multitude of subjects as long as they revolved around gardening, Mary Berry and needlepoint!

Well Sam & I want to say our final goodbyes to mum on Tuesday 9th August @ 9:00am and please take a moment to remember her as do we with my father’s favourite seafarers hymn “Amazing Grace” which we selected at the crematorium.

A private cremation has been held, for those wishing to remember, please feel free to make a donation to St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.

You will be missed Margaret. The children loved waving at you and shouting out to you (very loudly!) when they saw you. Some lovely chats including advice for the garden (which we needed!) and we loved the flowers you used to give us. Rest in peace xx
