When we were young Clare would look after me (protecting me from my big scary cousins!), and she has been quietly looking after people ever since. Lots of happy memories of family gatherings with Clare, little Jess and Rona. And, Clare so proud of her Jessica, always. Love to all the family, Kath xxx

What a fantastic time we cousins and all had as kids when we visited each other up North and down South. Clare was the gentlest, softest of all of us. I'll remember her calm, quiet influence on the boisterousness of life. Sending love Clare, Jess & family at this sad and difficult time x

I've been thinking about what a lovely, kind, warm person my cousin Clare was and how she used to play silly games with me when I was little to keep me entertained and make me laugh. I can't believe she's no longer here. The last time I saw Clare was at Rona's where she was gently, and calmly supporting Rona, with good humor and a chuckle. Jess was there of course following in her mum's footsteps. With love to all the family, Fiona xx

We will all miss Clare so much - 23 years of friendship from when Clare started Jess aged 8 at All Saints Primary School in Chatham, having returned to Medway from Birmingham. Your mum was a legend, Jess.
