In loving memory of Brendan Pettit who sadly passed away at the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow on 1st August 2022 aged 64 years. Brendan was a loving husband to Anne. Much loved father to Brendan, Brian and Jonathan. He was also a father in law to Nith and Stacy. Grandfather to Nia, and "Duggie the dog". He was also a brother, brother in law, uncle and a great friend to many, and will be very much missed by all who knew him.

Brendan was a lovely, lovely man - great to chat with and always a pleasure to spend time with. I have lived overseas for many years but getting my haircut with Brendan when I was back home always made me feel as if I was reconnecting with Glasgow. He was a great Glasgow personality. All my condolences to Ann and his boys, whom we always spoke about.

So grateful to have been with you all today to honour this lovely man. Compared to most I’ve only known Ann and Brendan for a few years. Sometimes though, special people are put in your life for a reason. As I was recovering from many years of illness my hair began to fall out. Brendan Pettit in Patrick came highly recommended.
I was tired, weak and couldn’t leave my house on my own. My wee Mammy took me to Patrick, I met Brendan. Not only did he fix my hair, along with Ann and Leanne they helped me to grow and regain a confidence I had lost many years ago.Just by accepting me, chatting, laughing and making me feel special. They will never know what an impact they had on my recovery, a day at a time.
I am beyond sad that Brendan’s gone, the service today was BEAUTIFUL. Your family did you so proud today Brendan. Rest in perfect peace

Brendan’s presence on Mansfield Street was what made the street, the neighbourhood and to me Anne and Brendan were the heart of Partick. I am sorry to not be able to pay my respects by being at Brendan’s funeral today and am sending my deepest sympathy and love at this time. Brendan was a angel and will be sorely missed. With Love Anthea (from Yoga Healing Glasgow)

Our sense of loss and sadness doesn’t come anywhere near to that of Anne, Brendan, Brian and John although it is deeply felt. It’s hard to believe we’ve known him for 50 years. He came for basic guitar tuition but over the years passed me by. We shared a common taste in acoustic music. We both played Eko guitars til I introduced him to George Lowden and the rest as they say is history. Every time I lift mine to noodle it’s Brendan that’ll come to mind. That’ll be no hardship. He is resting.

Condolences to Anne and family

Iain and Yvonne
