In loving memory of Doris Kilner who sadly passed away on 20th July 2022.
Born on the 4th February 1936, in Gawthorne Street, Nottingham, Doris was the daughter of the late John Augustine and Ida May JEFFERY.
Doris is survived by her husband, of 60 years, John Kilner, her son Roy Kilner and his wife Midori, her daughter Janet McCann and her husband John, her 5 Grandchildren Nicholas (and his partner Molly), Angela, Kotono, Dylan and Fujika, her 2 Great Grandchildren Luka and Joey and her younger sister, Joyce Marshall.
After struggling with vascular dementia, Doris had a fall and passed away a few days later, in hospital. She leaves us to join her parents and her older siblings and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A gathering will take place after the funeral at Peveril Court Community Centre for light refreshment.

I left home at 18 and moved around a lot, living in different places, different countries but Mum was always there. Telling me she loved me, giving me support and encouragement. But now she’s not here and that really hurts, I really miss her
I love you Mum

I wish I could write words in Japanese.
I admire you who used to be good at sewing and embroidering. Your handmade wedding dress was so beautiful.
I was happy that you were very adventurous for eating Japanese food and enjoyed it when you visited Japan.
It was my precious memories that I spent some time with you in June and celebrated your 60th wedding anniversary.
Thank you for bringing Roy into this world.

Daughter-in-law Midori

Sorry Mum, I wasn't ready to let you go.
We were all struggling with understanding the effects of your dementia; you not remembering what we remembered and us not knowing about what you remembered; even you viewing me as a "friend" rather than your daughter. I didn't want you to leave, I wanted to be your "friend" a little longer.
I love you XXX
