Your mum was an amazing lady with a heart of gold, she will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Sorry I can't be at the funeral but I will be thinking of you all and will light a candle at home for June xx

Thinking back to the 1960s,,,gosh this makes me feel very old. The 1960s,,when mum, dad,Kevin,June, jackie and myself lived on walnut crescent ,,we had a black and white dog called Judy,,we had a lovely garden cos dad loved to do the garden,,they used to bake Christmas cakes each year, dad used to make Sunday breakfast,,singing hymns,,he got upset when the only thing I would eat was a tea cake with beans on...I loved his cooking. Kevin used to go out in his beatle crushes and lots of brylcream in his hair,,he looked so cool,,I used to think ,,wow,,I can’t wait to grow up and look cool..June,,the big sister,,you were so tall at the side of us,,mum used to treat you grown up and Jackie and I would pull faces behind your back,,hahaha,,you used to babysit us on a Saturday night when mum and dad went to the pub,,you made toffee,,potatoes and onions,,sewing was a must and you made some fantastic stuff,,you made furry cats,,showed us how to make wool dolls, peg dolls,,cats,,cardboard cutouts,,,did I ever tell you how amazing I thought you was,,,you was so clever and very very arty,,you hung out with a few girls,,Denise and patty,,linda,,you were so tall,,you left school and got a job at a shop in town,,got new clothes,,looked cool like Kevin,,,then when I was about 10 everything changed,,,our mum died,,dad got so very sad,,the few years afterwards were not the happy years like the 60s,,,then all of a sudden we all grew up and went on different paths,,years went by,,lots of years.
I’m going to remember you in the 60s,,that is when I think ,,if you had got the right guidance ,,love and someone looking out for you,,your life would have been different,,you will always be my big sister June,,from the 1960s.
