In loving memory of Alan Henry Jenkinson who sadly passed away on 19th July 2022.

Born on 15th December 1941 into a Derbyshire Mining Community, Alan was the middle child of five siblings; Michael, Glenis, Brian and Cindy, his sisters and brothers.

He followed in his family’s footsteps and worked for the National Coal Board. He studied hard for a trade as an Electrician and Safety Officer. He was well respected by his workmates at Cotgrave Colliery.

Alan met his late wife, Rita, when he was just 18 years old when they were both on holiday in Skegness. They married and soon after rented a house in Cotgrave to bring their first daughter, Jayne, into the world. Two years after, their second daughter, Gail, arrived and Ann was their third daughter.

Alan had firm rules and boundaries for his daughters and gave them unconditional love and support to allow them to grow into very strong independent women.

Alan was a Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, Grandfather to Rebecca, Tom, Andrew, Joe, Kirsty, Jamie and Katie. He was also Great Grandfather to Daisy.

His memory will be forever etched in our hearts.

You will be greatly missed Granddad. Words cannot describe what an incredible person you were. I will cherish all the memories and miss your smile that would light up the room. You're finally at peace and reunited with Grandma. Miss you both so much ❤❤
