To my ,dopted mum, you are in memories throughout my teens until now and always. I remember laughter filled trips to Hatton Garden with mum and yourself, long phone calls where you put the world to rights and mischief! My kids loved having a Granny Mary. Be good up there Mary! And as we always ended our calls, if you can’t be good, just be careful…… or don’t get caught!! Love Dopted daughter xxx

My lasting memories of Mary was making inappropriate models at pottery, having wonderfully colourful language and drinking Whiskey like it was going out of fashion. She shared a birthday with my daughter and we would often giggle about the changes that she had seen during the war, in her working life. I will miss Mary forever.
