In loving memory of Minnie Steadman who sadly passed away on 18th July 2022.
Minnie May Baulch was born in Deptford, London on 14th April 1924.
One of nine, she spent some of her childhood with an Aunt and Uncle.
She worked as a cashier and bookkeeper living in the family home in Bromley.
Whilst helping out winding tank armatures in a Bromley factory she met one John Steadman.
They spent much of their courtship on a Norton motorcycle, even coming to Blandford Camp to watch motorcycle racing.
They were married on 16th August 1953 and moved into 70 Corbylands Road, a bungalow built for them by my grandfather Sooty (John's father).
David, their only child, was born on 13th June 1956.
John passed away in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Greenwich on 4th December 2016.
After a respite trial Minnie moved into Burwood Nursing Home in October 2017 where she enjoyed an unexpected and happy final chapter.
She died peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of 18th July 2022.
