In loving memory of Simon Paul Cooper, aged 57, of Cosham, Portsmouth, sadly passed away on 4th July 2022 after battling with cancer.

Born in Havant, Hampshire to Charlie and Pauline, Simon was a lively; fun cheeky chappie. Simon was fiercely passionate about Family and Friends from the start and dedicated his life in this pursuit.

After he left school, Simon worked in the casino industry as a croupier and this is where he met his wife Sara Louise Cooper. Simon and Sara went on to have two children; Samuel and Stanley. Simon always put family first, and was a dedicated father.

Simon was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.

Simon was also a passionate gamer and music enthusiast. He spent most of his spare time playing games and listening to music with his family and friends.

Simon leaves behind:

Sara Cooper - Wife
Samuel Cooper - Son
Stanley Cooper - Son
Russell Bell - Brother
Frank Bell - Brother
Graeme Cooper - Brother
Eon Cooper - Brother
Jon - Cooper - Brother
Sara Cooper - Sister
Ron King - Lifelong Friend

Simon also left numerous "in laws", niece's, nephew's and cousin's.

Simon's funeral service will take place at The Oaks, Havant Crematorium on Tuesday 9th August 2022 at 14.30.
The service will also be cast via a live feed at the same time and will be available 7 days after the service. A link to the live feed will be provided at a later date.

The wake is being held at the Masonic Hall and Conference Centre, Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3DD at 15.30 to 19.30 on Tuesday 9th August 2022.

The dress-code is of your choosing, no formalities.

Flowers; Simon would rather a charitable tribute than flowers (see below).

Donations; if desired, in Simon's memory may be made on-line to MacMillan Cancer Support, using the link attached to this page or to SENDIASS Portsmouth (for children with special educational needs), by cheque, made payable to 'Rose Road Association' and sent c/o Lee Fletcher Funeral Services, 95 High Street, Cosham, PO6 3AZ.

Simon....The most enthusiastic person you could meet for

Simon....The most enthusiastic person you could meet for "fancy dress" and helping others. I think on this day, your enthusiasm was dented by the party the nigh before. God bless you my friend.

A truly wonderful man who I had the honour of calling a friend. The world will be worse off without you Simon, but for those you came into contact with, you leave all those happy and cherished memories.

In the short time that we worked together I will always remember our chats about how to put this crazy world to rights, and the joys, trials and tribulations of our respective football teams. But most of all I will remember your friendship, your great humor, and positiveness, sense of fairness, care and understanding towards all people which is a very rare quality these days.

RIP Simon
