Gordon Arthur White (24 Apr 1932 - 30 Jun 2022)

In loving memory of Gordon Arthur White who sadly passed away on 30th June 2022, he was a loving husband, dad, grandad and great grandad, unfortunately Gladys passed away in May and he just couldn’t live without her, he will be greatly missed by all of our family and extended family, he had a wicked sense of humour and had a great passion for football and loved nothing better then to watch war films and listen to cds, mainly big band music and Rod Stewart, he loved nothing more then walking to his local, The Appleyard for his medication which consisted of a brandy with touch of water and ice and a John smiths pint , meeting up with his brother in law and friends. After retiring from The Central Pie Shop at the start of covid in 2020 he was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, he went on oxygen for 16 hours per day which he found very hard to get on with, unfortunately then diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s at the beginning of this year which resulted in hospitalisations due to UTI infections and contracting covid and sepsis while in hospital, he spent a total of 70 days in hospital and came out for just one week before having pneumonia which sadly resulted in his death. He has left some diaries for us to read which we will all treasure. RIP dear dad we love you, until we meet again one day 🙏❤️
