I have not seen my uncle Frank since I was about 12 years old, but I remember him fondly as the big guy with the afro who would pick up Cindy and Lisa right off the ground and wrestle with them. Frank and I shared some emails following my Nana's death a few years ago - he was compassionate, kind and welcoming to me.

RIP Uncle Frank x

Frank. Youngest son of Tommy and Ana of Deneside, Seaham. Esteemed brother of Colin and David. Sister in law of Valerie. Uncle of Paul, Justin, Emma, Charles and the late Colin Francis.
We have many very happy memories of Frank growing up. A lively energetic inquisitive boy. He will be sadly mourned. Grief is the price of love

I am still in shock that Frank has died, he was for many years a massive friend, unfortunately I hadn't seen him in a good twenty years. I have many happy memories of our time together, from camping trips to a simple pint in the club, from afternoons at Durham beer festival to nights around Sunderland.
He had a wicked sense of humour that some could not always understand, but, in our group it was a given that you would need to give as good as you got.
A true gentleman who will be missed by so many, Rest in Peace bonny lad.
