The last time I saw Lee it was on a visit to the UK and we went out to lunch with the family. Just one of many many special mwmories I will treasure forever. You were loved Lee. In February of this year our family had the devastating news that Lee had been diagnosed with cancer.
After lots of hospital and doctor visits, we found out that his tumour had gotten too big to operate. The hospital offered rounds of chemo for Dad but unfortunately this did not work.
We all looked after Dad at home, whilst he ate his ice lollies and tangerines in bed. After a short while he became too poorly to stay at home. At the end of June he was transferred to Havens Hospice in Southend. The nurses there were amazing and cared for him until the very end, where he took his last breath. They did not care only for Dad but for all of the family, making his last days memorable and special.
This donation page is in aid of the care given to Dad from Havens Hospice. Every nurse and worker at the hospice deserves all the appreciation and credit in the world.
In loving memory of Lee Glenn Spurgeon who sadly passed away on 1st July 2022.
We love you to the moon AND back.
