Dear Dad,
I'm so sorry Debbie, I and the Irish family had to hear about your passing from Mums neighbour.
It's lovely to hear you raised so much money for charity after not paying any child support.
The masons obviously have an open door policy nowadays.
You can't say I didn't try!
Toodle pip old chap.

John Patrick Vincent McGuinness (Pat), 65, of St. Ives sadly passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday 25th August with his wife Verena (Vee) at his side.
Pat was born in Molehill- Co Leitrim (Republic of Ireland), on 19th January 1950, to the late Mary and John McGuinness. Pat always immensely proud of his Irish roots, quickly became established in the local community making many friends with his charm, wit and presence. He served in Cambridgeshire Constabulary for 30 years, again making many friends in the Serious Crime, Regional and Fraud Squad’s, as well as being a well-known face around our Market Towns
Pat was a beloved member of the St Ives community being a leading light in the formation of the successful Pub Watch initiative. His fund raising abilities are legendary, where through his masonic and personal connections he raised tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities including Dream Drops, where again he was a founding member. He could frequently be found leading initiatives to help those who were less fortunate, where his grounding in Ireland during the early part of his life made him one of life’s givers.
Since his retirement from the Police force Pat has been active in the town building a successful business with his wife Vee in selling Dolls Houses and establishing a much needed Toy Shop to the delight of local parents.
The last 12 months have been particularly difficult for the family, having lost their much adored daughter Krissel to Cancer and then having Pat himself to fight this insidious disease with his beloved Vee at his side all of the time.
One of life’s true characters and a good guy in every respect, the world and St Ives in particular is poorer without his cheerful presence.
