Even though we’ll miss you,
You’re not too far away.
Our hearts are full of memories,
That we’ll treasure everyday.
Like crackers at Christmas,
And sweets with jam and cream.
Listening to all your stories
About the places that you’d been.
Funny little sayings
Like “Been off flying your kite?”
So handsome in your flat cap,
With a smile beaming bright.
Never leaving without a hug,
That always warmed our heart.
We’ll keep that feeling with us,
In this time that we’re apart.
And when we see a garden,
We’ll remember all your love.
Still helping us to grow,
Shining down from above.

Dad - thank you for encouraging me to be the best person I can be. Thank you for being an amazing grandad to my lovely daughters. Miss you loads xxx
