So sorry to hear this very sad news. I worked with Anne at the Queen Mums and the Southern General. Anne was always so happy. No matter how busy she was she always gave you a smile: mischievous , comforting and warm. To cross paths with Anne always brought happiness. A real joy in many lives and a legend for so many. Thoughts are with you all

What wonderful memories I have of Anne. I worked with her for decades both at The Queen Mother's Hospital and the maternity unit at the Southern General.
As lead midwife I met Anne nearly every day of her working life. She was such a caring kind person. Happiness surrounded her and her love for the mother's and babies.
Despite "retiring" Anne continued to work bank shifts almost full time
I often asked her "when are you going to make time for yourself"
The world has lost a truly kind caring woman. RIP

So sorry, and saddened, to hear of her death.
