Sonny Whittle (3 Apr 2004 - 20 Jun 2022)

In loving memory of Sonny Whittle who sadly passed away on 20th June 2022. He passed away after a courageous and hard fight with cancer surrounded by his family. An unfathomable amount of money has been raised to help with his funeral costs which will really help with giving him a beautiful send-off.

We all deeply miss him and will remember him as being hopeful and driven, even towards the end he never stopped fighting and gave it everything he had. He was meant to go to University in September and truly had a chance at a wonderful and fulfilling life, we all miss him dearly and will remember him every day.

The funeral will be held at St Andrews church in Wingfield on July 12th with the service beginning at 2:00 pm. Anyone who knew Sonny or wishes to come to pay their respects is welcome to come.

You are welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in, some people will be in black, some casual clothes and some football colours. Again whatever makes you feel comfortable.

There is parking around the corner near Wingfield Barns, The De La pole car park is reserved for family only unless specified otherwise for accessibility.

The wake will be held at the De La Pole immediately across from the church. We welcome everyone to the pub to celebrate with us.

There will be a hog roast and other options.
